This morning, as we said our "shee you later's" to "Mano," Ayden pushed my head forward to give him a kiss. It struck us both as unusual. She has never done this before. She usually wants to be the center of attention and doesn't want to share either one of us with the other. She did it a few more times before giving us each a kiss herself.
Sometimes it's strange to me that she is her own little person...that ideas form independent from us in her pretty little head...and, I think about how wonderfully strange and new the world must be when you are a child...how strange adults must be-- with all of their rules, judgments, and conscious behavior.
